Trustees appoint new vice president of strategic enrollment management

Jean-Paul Spagnolo has been appointed Capital’s vice president for strategic enrollment management, after a nationwide search that began earlier this year.

Spagnolo’s appointment was unanimously approved this week by the Board of Trustees, and he is expected to assume the position on Nov. 1.

Spagnolo has served as associate vice president for enrollment management and director of admissions and enrollment marketing at the University of Saint Francis, Indiana, for the past eight years.

The search committee selected him due to his role in developing a diversity resource center, and implementing strategic enrollment and retention plans during his time at Saint Francis.

He earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University and is pursuing his doctorate in education administration at the University of Nebraska.

Amy Adams, interim vice president of enrollment management will return to her position of associate vice president when Spagnolo assumes the position.

Spagnolo said in an email that he is looking forward to joining the CapFam.
