John Boehner’s moment as most powerful person in America

by Adam Schneider

In an interesting fate of scheduling coincidences, both President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were out of the country on foreign trips.

Though their dual absence from the country only lasted approximately 20 minutes, this is an unusual circumstance.

The Vice-President was visiting Italy and the Vatican to be one of many dignitaries congratulating Pope Francis on his recent election.

The President remains in Israel on his first Presidential visit to the country since being elected to his first term in 2008.

Though technically the most powerful person in the country for those twenty minutes, Speaker of the House John Boehner’s office refused to comment on POTUS and VPOTUS’s trips.

In related news, the President fit in a meeting with ESPN’s Andy Katz to write up his annual “Barack-etology” picks for the upcoming NCAA Tournament, reaffirming his love of basketball.
