What would you say has changed about you the most during your time at Capital?
I think that one way I have changed during my time here is that I used to dwell on assignments and things that I had to get done a lot. I spent so much time worrying about getting things done without really remembering that they were going to get done whether I spent a lot of time worrying about them or not. I have just learned to accept that things are going to get done and to be patient with myself in the process.
What will you miss the most about Capital?
I will miss walking on campus. I love walking on campus and seeing everyone, and I am going to be really really sad when I can no longer walk from the library to the admission office one more time as a student. I will miss my student walks.

What would you say has changed about you the most during your time at Capital?
I would say one thing that has really changed about me is that I have really gotten good at knowing what I like. I know that I like to work, and I know that I like to spend time with my friends.
What I will miss most about college for sure is the community. Especially my community and my friends.

What do you think has influenced you the most during your time here?
For me, the most influential part of Capital would probably be the ROTC program. The former professor of military science, Lieutenant Meheady, was the one who pushed me to be a battalion commander, and she is always telling me that I need to strive to be better. She left me with this quote: “A leader without empathy, is not a very good leader.” So, I always remember I need to show empathy. I need to make sure to take a step back and look at why someone may be making mistakes instead of just getting angry. I have tried to influence others by using that quote as well.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I plan on staying in the military. As far as location, I am not sure, because it is where ever the military sends me. But I know that in the next few years I will be in Fort Hood, Texas.

What would you say has changed about you the most during your time at Capital?
The thing that has changed the most about me would definitely be my confidence level. When I started, I was pretty shy and did not know where I wanted to be in this world or what I wanted to do. But then with my experiences here at Capital and internships and meeting new people, I definitely grew to be more confident and fit in my skin more and really learn about where I want to be in the future.
I am going to miss the people the most. I will miss meeting new people and sharing different perspectives on life and definitely seeing friendly faces every day.

What do you think has influenced you the most during your time here?
The biggest influence for me has been people I have been surrounded by at Capital. I have learned a lot from them and joined organizations based on the people I have been around. I have hung out with many different kinds of people and tried new things.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I am thinking I will be living around Columbus or Cleveland. I am thinking I would live closer to Columbus right now. I would like to work as a software developer or a web developer. I want to do something where I would be designing websites or applications for computers or phones.

What I will miss the most about Capital is the small size, getting to see the same people, and getting really close with faculty and advisers and students within your same major.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Ideally, I will be on track to have my doctorate and have a job lined up in a prison to be a prison psychologist.

What would you say has changed about you the most during your time at Capital?
My personality has changed the most. I was kind of shy and a little reserved my first year and the more I got involved in different activities around campus, the more I realized that it is okay to voice my opinions about stuff. I have a lot of great professors who encourage me to do that, too.
I will definitely miss my professors. I have had a lot of great support from various professors, too, and not just in my field.

What do you think has influenced you the most during your time here?
I think something that has influenced me has been really my time just to grow into a lot of different areas that I didn’t think I would. I came in through Smooth Transitions and was introduced to a lot of different organizations and had my horizons broadened. I became a part of the Ebony Brotherhood Association, the Students for the Advancement of African American Culture and Cru and everything has really just developed from there. From my experiences in those leadership groups, I have been able to grow as a person.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, honestly, I could see myself doing some work here at Capital and in the community. I have applied for staff with Cru. They would have me going around central Ohio and meeting with students on different campuses. I really just like the aspect of helping people along in life and really getting to know people a lot more. In five years, it would be really cool to give back to others and learn and be immersed in college culture.
