Fall semester at Capital starts in one month, which is a bummer. But what’s not a bummer is that leaves us with one more month of summer to turn up and avoid our responsibilities — particularly at a music festival.
August doesn’t have to be the Sunday of summer — there’s still plenty of time to make your break from school the best it can be, especially by going to see some of your favorite bands at a 2-day psychedelic music festival under the stars.
Bellwether Music Festival, which will be held Aug. 10-11 at Renaissance Park in Waynesville, OH, arguably has one of the best lineups of the summer.
From indie favorites MGMT and Local Natives on one day to traditional iconic bands like The Flaming Lips and Echo and the Bunnymen on the next day, Bellwether Festival’s lineup is sure to spark a legendary end-of-summer party for you and your friends before going back to the grind of college less than two weeks later. You’ll be able to sing and dance to “Electric Feel” in real-life and then hold up your lighters up to “Do You Realize??” the very next night, and who can ask for anything more than that?
Bellwether offers a combination of weekend plans including single day and weekend passes, along with various camping options (including glamping and “freshen up” passes) if you’re feeling really outdoorsy. If not, there are plenty of hotels in the area which can easily be booked through a link on Bellwether’s site.
The full lineup and additional information including prices, prohibited items, and driving directions can be found at bellwetherfest.com. We hope to see you there, #CapFam!
