Musician Dessa—whose latest album, Parts of Speech, was released by Doomtree Records in June—will be performing at The Basement, located at 391 Neil Ave. The show starts Friday at 7 p.m. with the band Sombear (embarking on his first tour) opening.
Billed as an emcee and a writer who’s also experimented with hip-hop and spoken word, Dessa has proven to be an artist with a variety of talents.
Dessa’s two previous solo albums are A Badly Broken Code and Castor, The Twin. All of Dessa’s music is available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes. Sombear’s album Love You in the Dark—released in July—is also available for purchase.
Tickets cost $12.00 in advance and $14.00 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased on www.ticketmaster.com.
