While students settle into their favorite study spots and focus on assignments, the Chimes has compiled a list of the five best study spots on campus and around Bexley for students to branch out and try this finals season.

Bexley Public Library

Bexley Public Library is a walking distance from campus right down Main Street. Overall, it is a fantastic study spot.

It has free Wi-Fi and a plethora of study spots to sit down and do homework. With a quiet reading room, public computers, a creation station and much more, this spot is a great place for any student to get work done.

The chairs are comfortable, the tables have charging ports and patrons have access to books, movies and audiobooks. Students don’t need much more than that.

Convergent Media Center

The university’s Convergent Media Center (CMC)  is a great spot for focusing and productivity.

The Paige and Michael Crane Conference Room and Academic Corridor is a fantastic place for group projects because of its meeting room style layout and TV.

Students also have reported working individually with the music from WXCU Radio playing over the speakers.

For students studying anatomy vocabulary or drawing chemistry structures, the white boards on the second floor are always helpful.

This spot is popular on campus for a reason.

Capital Grounds

Capital Grounds, located on the first floor of Saylor-Ackermann Hall, is the campus coffee spot and great for a little pick-me-up while studying.

This location is great for those who like their study spots a little busier and maybe enjoy some people watching.

Blackmore Library

With small tables and booths, it is a great place for writing a paper, doing homework with a classmate or just grabbing a coffee and talking with friends on a study break.

Blackmore Library

Blackmore Library is another beloved on-campus study spot and deserves to be so.

Key features include four floors that get quieter the higher up they go, several individual study rooms, a few white boards for writing or drawing and a study room in the quiet aesthetics of the Schumacher Gallery.

For those who need a peer tutoring session or another set of eyes on their final paper, Academic Success is located on the second floor, and the service is more than willing to help students with their studies.

Also located a walking distance down Main Street, Starbucks is another common place for students studying.

This location has small tables, comfortable chairs, a small room through a vault door for a more quiet, isolated study session, and of course, coffee and tea.

Word around campus is that holiday drinks are out, making this a great place for students who focus best in a busy setting while enjoying a peppermint mocha  or iced gingerbread chai.

Overall, whether students like studying on campus or getting out of the Capital bubble, Bexley and the university offer many options for finals week, so get to studying, and good luck on finals!
