New York native and singer/songwriter Jillette Johnson will be performing at Newport Music Hall, located at 1722 N. High St., Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
Johnson released a five-song EP, “Whiskey & Frosting,” in August 2012, and her debut album, “Water In A Whale,” was released in June 2013.
Performing alongside Johnson are bands Swear and Shake, and Red Wanting Blue.
Swear and Shake released the full-length album “Maple Ridge” in 2012 and have toured with The Lumineers and Delta Rae.
Red Wanting Blue has released nine albums since 1996 with its most recent, “From the Vanishing Point,” released in 2012.
