A man was seen entering Schaaf Hall at 4:25, according to the university CapAlert issued at 4:58.
The CapAlert issued at 5:18 said the suspect was apprehended and students can resume normal activities.
According to a Columbus Police Department officer, “a couple of suspects of interest in custody.”
An eyewitness said three males were handcuffed and taken into custody, two dressed in all black and one in an oversized white and red Halloween costume.
Along with CPD, Bexley Police Department and Capital University Public Safety reported to the scene.

When the Chimes visited Public Safety, the officers provided no information or comment.
At 7:34, Deanna Wagner, associate provost, emailed campus with more information.
In her email, Wagner said the object that appeared to be a firearm in the image below was was a cell phone.
Wagner also said the suspect was “questioned and charged by Bexley Police with inciting panic.”
