Companies offer freebies, discounts for the vaccinated

Many businesses are offering freebies and discounts to people with a vaccine card.

One of these places includes a Columbus favorite: Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

Doughnut purveyor Krispy Kreme announced that people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 can get a free original glazed doughnut at US shops — as long as they show a valid inoculation record card.”

In addition to Krispy Kreme’s sweet deal, Staples, Office Depot and OfficeMax are offering free lamination for COVID-19 vaccine cards now through July 25, 2021, so that it stays in pristine condition while being used for all your freebies!

For all the beer-lovers out there, Sam Adams beer company is giving $7 to the first 10,000 people to tweet a picture of their vaccine card using the hashtag #ShotForSam.

“Sam Adams hopes drinkers will get back to supporting the bars and restaurants they love. So if you get vaccinated against COVID-19, we’ll buy your first beer back!”

Like Sam Adams, it’s evident that many companies have struggled throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, so offering incentives for getting vaccinated will help businesses bounce back.

If you can believe it, donuts and beer aren’t the only freebies available!

Drop, an e-commerce company, is offering those who share on Instagram that they’ve been vaccinated $20 to $50 in points to use at Amazon or Starbucks.

For those of you who are not vaccinated yet and want to start taking advantage of these awesome discounts, Uber and Lyft are offering free or discounted rides to vaccination centers!

Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is necessary, not only so you can take advantage of the awesome perks available, but also so we can get back to normal life.
