Students share their ideas for replacing Cosi

Since the closing of Cosi on Main Street last semester, the question of how the space will be utilized has been on students’ minds. A few students share their ideas for the space below:

Yaiqan Edwards, first-year: “I would like something that’s fun for people…put a bar there! Maybe something like a B-Dubs.”

Albany Fridley, first-year: “I feel like around here there’s a lot of expensive places…maybe something a little cheaper that’s a little bit easier for a college student to afford.”

Derek Gulley

Derek Gulley, junior: “Maybe another pizza place. I love pizza; I think that’s great for college students. It’s affordable, [and] who doesn’t like pizza?”

Destiny White, junior: “Another cup of joe place where you can just sit down, do homework and get something to eat…something more geared toward students.”

Lexi Neider, junior: “A café that’s not really well known…[with] new food each day, what’s fresh. Also, affordable.”

Brandy Mcnutt, senior: “Maybe another restaurant that they can use flex dollars at next year. Something local would be nice…[it] would be a nice alternative for students.”
